Christmas Beauty inc. My Burberry & Smashbox On the Rocks Palette

People go on many nights out across the festive period, so I thought I'd do a mini summary of so
me of my Christmas & Party Beauty pieces, as well as some new purchases I've made this winter...

♥ Hands down, the best red lip colour I have ever come across has to be Santa Baby from Lush. I picked up my first last year when in Bath for the Bath Blogger Xmas Meet after having my eye on it for ages. When I got it, I loved it ... it's a cross between pillarbox red & a redish orange. I started to run low this year, so I was so pleased when they brought it out again this year. I have such a wide range of designer lipsticks, but this lip stain at £5.95 is by far my favourite.

♥ I treated myself with my Boots points, to the Smashbox On The Rocks Palette. I was really sceptical at how good the palette would be, as it was £29, and I've used so many different eyeshadows before to have them come off in a matter of minutes or on the otherhand, have to apply so much of the eyeshadow for it to even have an effect! I was proved wrong with this palette... the colours require a maximum of two swipes to cover an eyelid, the colour is relatively long lasting and has a huge impact... I have quite small eyes and a fringe, but the colours I've tried already (mainly the bronzes and golds) stood out. I need to get to grips with the darker colours so I don't look like I have a black eye all the time, so any tips, leave in the comments below, would be most appreciated!
If you like the colours on this palette and are considering it... go for it! They can create statement eyes or natural depending on application, and usage is very low!

♥ My foundation of choice is always Double Wear by Estee Lauder. I am currently on the hunt for a discontinued Clarins powder to go over the top this winter.
♥ My ultimate favourite purchase this festive season has to be the new My Burberry fragrance from Burberry. I saw the advert with a certain Miss Moss in it, the packaging was gold and honestly it smells divine. I wasn't going to buy it, but I ended up getting almost £20 off in discount vouchers... I couldn't say no. I brought the gift set, which came with a body mist, and both smell amazing! I need to get into the habit of using perfume daily as I still have Marc Jacobs Daisy, Kate Moss, Yardley & LancĂ´me Miracle all nearly full from years ago!
What are your favourite winter make up picks this year? Is there something you always have to buy for your make up bag?
