Last Sunday, I decided it was about time my not so little pup needed to visit the seaside for the first time. After visiting Whitstable earlier this month for the Oyster festival, it was an easy choice as it was under two hours on the train, cheap and with a lovely atmosphere, it was the perfect place to re-visit. Personally I just love the pastel house colours, beach huts, clear sea and mix of pebble/sand on the beach. After visiting a few other beaches along the coastline this summer too, Whitstable had the clearest sea, it also made the perfect place to go swimming.
Seeing the sea, then running away from it!
Cece didn't swim in the sea (like I so hoped) ... any dog swimming tips you have, send my way please! After a swim in the sea and a picnic (hello Waitrose tapas & hummus) we headed home. Walking back, I ended up seeing more little details that I seemed to miss last time such as the oyster piles, and the Whitstable Oyster Co Boat (which I spent time searching for on my first trip!)
