One of my goals this year is to listen to records more. I'm currently lusting over a Crosley record player which I spotted online, but before buying a new player, I need to listen to records more. Before I first bought my first record player, I had a box of records which have been handed down to me, which included Bruce Springsteen's 'Born to Run' & David Bowie  'Young Americans'. When I had my player, I had a lot of Christmas records, and I ordered Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Special' and I tell you 'Uptown Funk' sounds a-ma-zing on record! But then I stopped buying records, and then my record player started getting dusty and forgotten about until this past Christmas, when I headed to a local record store and picked up Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black'

I've decided for my birthday this year, I'm asking everyone to pick a record to buy me for a present as a way of building up my collection, and I've started to buy records too (as a result of making this lust list, see top photo #sorrynotsorry).  For this lust list, I thought I'd approach it a tad differently and list the records which you can find on Amazon, alongside a favourite lyric from that album, a sort of a mini intros round off of Never Mind the Buzzcocks!

Lush Kiss Me Quick

K i s s    M e     Q u i c k   is probably one of the weirdest products I've ever purchased from Lush ; a wash card which is business card size, that feels spongey yet sturdy and this one smelt extremely fruity - I picked it up on a complete whim and had no prior intention of buying a wash card, but the mustard yellow caught my eye in the shop, and for two pounds, I figured you can't really go wrong!

Using the wash card was super easy, and it foamed up lots - the only down side is that it fell apart quite quickly, and went pulpy, but when I researched the ingredients and saw that apple pulp was an ingredient, this then became clear why it was like that! I'd definitely buy another wash card in the future, especially if I was travelling and wanted a non liquid wash.

Lush Cupid Bath Bomb

Cupid Bath Bomb is part of the new Valentines collection at Lush this new year. Bath bombs are by far my favourite product from Lush, and Cupid was one I haven't tried / seen before so was top of my list to try. It is made up of rose, bergamot, violet leaf & lime, and has the most gorgeous scent. It fizzed into a pale shade of hot pink / light lilac colour in the tub and also created a bath full of bubbles. For £2.95, this is definitely one to try this Valentine's day!

31 Thoughts I Had Whilst Watching La La Land

I rarely watch a film the entire way through without being distracted, let alone choose to go to the cinema to see a new release, but after seeing Emma Stone & Ryan Gosling on a chat show, to then the reaction to La La Land on Twitter, I knew I needed to go and see this film. I loved reading posts such as 19 Emotional Tweets That Perfectly Sum Up How You Feel About La La Land & Emma's post on La La Land... basically I feel the need to go and see the film again and I want to order the vinyl soundtrack and listen to it forever.
I saw the film today, and after coming home, pinteresting images from the film, considering dying my hair red again and pre-ordering the DVD, I figured I'd share the thoughts!
If you haven't seen the film ... don't read ahead if you don't want spoilers! If you have, read on  see if you had similar thoughts/feels as me (def felt like I was writing a page in a Goosebumps book then!)

⋆ Opening credits ... they're all singing on cars. This is a musical. For many that's a yay (like me) ...
I have never had coffee all over my blouse like that before *thank god*
How pretty is Emma Stone?!
Oh god how pretty is Ryan Gosling! At this point, random 'Hey Girl' thoughts start subtitling the screen in my mind!
Mia's bedroom is insane. Why is my bedroom so plain in comparison?
That blue dress = heart eye emoji.
Are parties really that glamourous in America? Maybe I'll sit here and rack my brains as to whether I'll ever go to a party like that? Probably not. Oh well!
Ryan Gosling still looks sexy dressed as 1980s tribute mess holding that keyboard. *drools at screen*
Can Ryan Gosling actually play piano for real?
Maybe I should play the piano again. Maybe learn more than 'Chopsticks'
How can Mia be such a flirt? Are there actually girls out there with good banter / flirtiness knocking around?
'Hey George Michael' ... oh goodness!
THAT DANCE ... oh my god, is this even real life?
I need to learn to dance like that.
He walked her all the way to her car, and his was outside ... triple heart eye emoji.
Why have I never been on a date to an observatory? Have I ever been inside an observatory? Must make mental note to look up the closest one.
Mia needs to dump her boyfriend.
How can you stand up a date with Ryan Gosling?
No words about this moment. All the feels.
Hold her damn hand!
Hmmmm, I've never seen a Rebel Without a Cause.
I really need Emma Stone / Mia's wardrobe. Her clothes are ace.
I also want to drive a retro car. God damn.
Yes they are now together ... and they lived happily ever after ... or not!
John Legend is in this film ... does Chrissy Teigen cameo I wonder? (too obsessed with those two!)
A different type of jazz ... this is weird. Is he selling out?
Why is the theatre empty? :(
Is it sexy/ cute that he always beeps the horn?
Five Year's Later ... wait ... no ... no ... no
Oh dear lord, Seb's jazz club ... it's fate. Yes ... yes ... yes.
The End ... kill me now, I clearly will not be able to hold my life together after seeing this film. Did that ending actually just happen.

New Year's Day in Whitstable

This New Year's celebrations were focused more on New Year's Day rather than the evening before, and judging from a lot of the lovely people I follow on twitter, most went with the low key evenings. New Year's day, even though the skies were mainly grey, I hopped on the train down to the coast to visit my favourite seaside town Whitstable. Coming back, even on the greyest of days, made me regret not visiting last year, and gave me serious house goals / beach hut goals for the future. I ticked something off of my bucket list by trying oysters (and loving them too!) . The beginning of the day started by heading right of the station and exploring the huts by Tankerton Slopes ... literally minutes away from the main harbour, and huts of every colour you could wish for. Then heading to the main harbour, looking around the boutique shops and huts, picking out beer based on the craziest names (The Yeastie Boys & Beavertown was purchased!) Drinking in the art deco wetherspoons The Peter Cushing, and then chilling on the beach. It was the perfect way to start a new year.
