Lambeth County Show 2018

Lambeth County Festival - Good eats, cider in petrol bottles & chilled entertainment in a park.
I'd never heard of Lambeth County Show before and all I can say now I've attended is I'll be there every year from now on. It is a free weekend festival held in Brockwell Park in Brixton a stones throw away from Herne Hill station. It is a cross between a traditional country show with a modern twist! There are so many stalls to explore, with something for everyone. There were charity stands, boot fair style stalls for charity and independent small businesses too.
The amount of different cuisines on offer was unreal. I went straight for Topdogs & went for a Clinton's Lovechild hot dog & cheesy chips topped with crispy fried onion (aka... heaven in a dish). There were vegan stalls & food from around the world - next year I've decided I'll need to try some Jamaican food as the stands smelt insane.
The queue for Chucklehead Cider was gigantic, however it was worth the wait for the still apple cider. Around the park, music acts were popping up and performing under trees, and people were dancing and it was one of those weird summers days which felt a bit like a movie. Next year, I'm going to go equipped for an afternoon & evening there.
The details for next year's festival are already up ... check them out here.
